I used to call it “Horrible Freight” because it was all very cheap tools, but over the years — especially while working on the ranch — I’ve come to see the benefit of it. If you’re in the middle of a project and need a tool you’ll only use once or twice, it’s a great place to get affordable equipment. Unlike Temu, you can actually see it in the store and browse around.
I have a whole tool chest full of their ICON tools. They’re guaranteed for life, a lot like Sears Craftsman used to be. If a tool breaks or malfunctions, take it back to the counter and they replace it.
I’ve used the guarantee twice with hole punches and chisels while changing the teeth on an excavator bucket at the ranch. I broke a punch trying to get a pin out; the whole set cost about $80, and they simply gave me a new set when I took it back.
