Check IR Remote Batteries

Dana Brunetti All right, this is a boomer tip kind of for people that use remote controls — infrared remote controls for your TV — and you don’t use a bot to control it like I do. When you’re clicking… I do have one in my bedroom and it’s a pain in the ass. I’m always clicking, trying to turn it off or turn the volume or turn the channel or run the menu, and you don’t know if the batteries are good or not.

If you take your phone and you point the camera towards the end of the remote and push the button — use your camera on your phone. And if you don’t see the infrared light, the battery’s dead (Check out John’s tip for good batteries).

Adam That’s your tip of the day?

Dana Brunetti That’s a great tip, and people will use it, and they will be like, yep, that was a good one.
