John C. Dvorak: Money! You’ve got money. Everyone out there has money. And Dana had a great suggestion: go to unclaimed.org, put your name in, and it’ll show you all the possible money you have.
In California, for example, if you keep your money in a bank and don’t access it or touch it for about a year, they just kick it to the state—they steal it from you! You go back to your bank account, and they’ll say, “Oh, no, it’s been sent to the state. You haven’t been in touch with us for a year.” So, everyone’s got a bunch of money sitting around. Turns out I have some, too—refunds from State Farm Insurance.
