Turn off fuel efficient routes on Google Maps

John C. Dvorak: Okay, here’s a great tip: turn off the “fuel-efficient routes” option on Google Maps. You can find videos about it because it turns out that Google Maps will automatically default to fuel-efficient routes, which might not be the fastest. You want the best route, not necessarily the most fuel-efficient one.

Adam Curry: So, is that something you have to opt out of? Is it on by default?
