Tanqueray Rangpur Lime

John: This is a booze recommendation for people who haven’t had it. I was talking to Mimi about recommending Tanq 10 as a gin people should buy if they’re going to buy gin. I was actually on the professional tasting panel that picked Tanq 10 as the Gin of the Year when it came out — this was in the ’90s, so it’s been a while. It may have been talked about before on the show, but the one thing we haven’t discussed — and the one I’m going to recommend as the Tip of the Day — people should just get this, use it in cocktails, or just drink it straight. It’s terrific.
It is Tanqueray Rangpur Lime. It’s a lime flavored gin and it would be dynamite in a martini. You have one taste of this stuff and you’ll fall in love with it. It is tremendous.
Adam: So, is Tanqueray gin?
John: Yeah, Tanqueray is gin.
Adam: I’m not really a gin fan.
