John I’m gonna go with my Manuka Honey. Are you familiar with this stuff?
Adam You’ve talked about honey before.
John Not manuka.
Adam Not manuka. Okay.
John Yeah, it’s manuka honey. In fact, we should look it up.
It’s native New Zealand tea tree, and it has high levels of methylglyoxal MgO.
Adam Do I want that? Do I want methylglyoxal?
John It’s an antibacterial. So you do want it. It aids wound healing, digestion and immunity. This is the only honey that has this stuff in it. Everything else, you know, just a bunch of sugar. Blood sugar, impacts allergies. It has, you know, you should read about it before you use it, ’cause it’s very powerful product. But the reason I brought it up is ’cause Mimi has this big dog. And the dog had got his toe in a bind that was gonna be infected, and it had to be…
Adam Cut his leg off.
John Had to cut his toe off.
Adam Oh.
John: But she just doused it with Manuka honey. For about a week or two, put a little protection over it so the dog didn’t lick the honey off, and it healed completely. It is notorious for healing deep wounds.
Adam: Huh.
John: It’s a very notorious honey.
Adam: Well, I’ve never heard of it.
John: Very expensive.
Adam: Does it taste good?
John: I’ve never tasted it.
Adam: So you just put it on your wound?
John: I don’t have any wounds yet, but I do have a jar of it. But this stuff cost a fortune. It’s got like a little bitty jar is like 15 bucks.
Adam: Wow.
John: And according to the medical people, you should only use medical grade. But now look into it because there is a grading system. And if you have the highest grade manuka honey, which has got a rating of 10 or more, and the numbers usually on the jar, it’s fine.
Adam: The things you learn on the No Agenda Show, amazing.
