John Alright, I got a wine tip from Costco. Only because people keep wanting these wine tips from Costco.
Adam Yeah! All right! Wake the kids! That’s all we really want.
John I’m going to try to get a couple in a month. This is a 2024. Now, this is for people who are really Chardonnay aficionados. I don’t know if you want this wine. This is for the ABC people.
Adam ABC? Anything but Chardonnay?
John The women who use the term ABC, which means anything but Chardonnay. Right. There’s a bunch of people that started to hate it. They don’t like it. Like the buttery, the delicious buttery Chardonnays. They don’t like oak. They don’t like this. They don’t like that. But they like a crisp, clean Chardonnay. You know, like a Chablis would be a good example from France.
In France, they have the range of Chardonnays that’s only equalled by California. We have an incredible range of quality Chardonnays. Yeah, which is probably our best grape, in fact.
Adam Now, you did one of these recently. You did an ABC wine recommendation.
John Yeah, but it wasn’t a Chardonnay. It was actually a true ABC wine.
Adam Okay, okay.
John This is a Chardonnay that qualifies because it’s, I consider it very well made, unobtrusive Chardonnay for people who don’t like Chardonnay necessarily. And maybe if you like Chardonnay, you’d like this wine too. It’s the Ferrari-Carano, which they always make a good wine. It’s a Sonoma Valley operation. 2024 Sonoma County Chardonnay. And it’s available at Costco for $15.98.
Adam Wow. That’s a pretty good price.
John It’s a reasonable price.
Adam What is it? Some of the ladies here, they’re drinking something else. Not blanc de blanc — that’s bubbly, right?
John Blanc de Blanc is typically a sparkling wine.
Adam Yeah, what is the other, something else that… Not a V&A.
John Sauvignon Blanc?
Adam No. Maybe… I’m trying to say…
John Pinot Blanc?
Adam I don’t remember. I’m going to have to find it.
John Well, thanks a lot. That was useful. This reminds me of, “Hey, John, I had this fabulous wine at this restaurant. I can’t remember. It was unbelievable.”
Really? What was it?
“I don’t know”.
