Here’s a spice everyone should get their hands on. I’ve talked about spices before, but this one is a more generalized product that you can use on almost everything.
Now, I’ve always been a fan of spice blends. They simplify cooking, and while many cooking shows tell you to make your own blends, 90% of the time, those recipes aren’t tested enough or just don’t turn out perfect. Recently, I was watching America’s Test Kitchen, and they were creating spice blends that you can beat easily with Ton C.
Here’s the tip: get the big giant thing of Goya Adobo Seasoning.
It’s a Mexican seasoning made by Goya (they’re big Trump supporters, by the way). Stick with the plain version or the one labeled “sin pimienta” (without pepper). Goya has a whole line of Adobo seasonings, including some unusual ones you might find on their website. Skip the fancy varieties and stick to the basics.
You can find these seasonings at giant Mexican mercados, which I also recommend shopping at. These massive supermarkets carry a wide variety of spices, and you’ll find the Goya Adobo there—but typically not the odd variations from the website.
What makes Adobo seasoning so great? You can use it on steaks, chicken, salads, or just about anything. It’s versatile and delicious. And here’s the kicker: Unlike many spice blends, Goya Adobo contains no wheat, making it safe for people with wheat allergies, like Mimi and others. Use as much as you want!
