ImgBurn

John C. Dvorak: Sometimes I promote software that I’ve liked and used over the years. I think it works; it’s small, effective, and great for old media. It’s called ImgBurn, and it’s for making DVDs, CDs, or whatever discs you need.

Adam Curry: Who still uses DVDs?

John C. Dvorak: Yes, I knew this would be what you’d say. They’re still selling them by the millions, so somebody must be using them. When you want to burn one, what are you going to use? You probably don’t have any CD burning software on your machine.

Adam Curry: I do. I use truck driver… what’s it called…?

John C. Dvorak: ImgBurn. It’s simple, does the trick, and handles ISOs, CDs, and more.

You can go to Amazon and buy a cheap burner for 29 bucks. They’re USB drives that burn CDs, DVDs, and even Blu-rays. You can always archive some stuff. That’s my tip of the day, especially for the haters.
