John C. Dvorak: The water filter we’re discussing is clearly filtered, and you can find it at clearlyfiltered.com. This water filter lasts about a year, but it’s quite expensive. It’s designed to remove fluoride and a range of impurities.
I got this tip from JC, his wife Jessie, who is very particular about these things because she has a lot of allergies. She introduced me to different filters. I tried the Zero filter, which I thought you’d like.
Adam Curry: The Zero filter used to be popular.
John C. Dvorak: Right, but I found that it doesn’t remove everything—it leaves some things behind, like certain contaminants. The Zero filter mostly targets parts per million of dissolved solids but doesn’t handle everything. This new filter, however, claims to remove a wide variety of contaminants. The filters last about a year, depending on usage; if you fill it daily, it might only last six to nine months. There’s no definitive way to check when it needs replacing, but Jessie concluded that this is the best option. The packaging isn’t great; the lid doesn’t fit properly and can come off. But the water tastes delicious, so I’m going to promote Clearly Filtered.
Adam Curry: Is Clearly Filtered available on Amazon, or do we need to go to Temu for that?
John C. Dvorak: I believe I got my refills on Amazon.
