2015 Cru Beaujolais

2015 Cru Beaujolais

John C. Dvorak: If you’re looking to buy a good Beaujolais at a reasonable price, you can find good ones for under twenty. Ideally, you want to get a Cru Beaujolais—look for “CRU” Beaujolais. These wines come from specific towns like Fleurie, Brouilly, and Morgon, among others. You can find a list of these on Google or their Wikipedia page.

Cru Beaujolais wines are higher quality than Beaujolais Villages, which are considered the lowest tier. Notably, 2015 is considered one of the best vintages of Beaujolais since the 1940s, according to many experts. I’ve tried both cheap and expensive bottles from 2015, and they are some of the most delicious wines for the price you’ll ever find.
